Endless Wall Trail Trailhead
From the Canyon Rim Visitor Center we drove the short distance to the trailheads for the 5-star rated Endless Wall Trail.

Good hike to a great overlook and view of the New River. 19 North and take the first right on Lansing-Edmond Rd. From the Fern Creek Trailhead this is a 20 mile out and back hike to Diamond Point.

There are two points of interest first is diamond point literally the rock is diamond shaped at the summit this easily found point of interest is a great viewing area of the gorge and all surrounding areas. A wayside near the trails start details the havoc of the hemlock woolly adelgid an invasive pest gnawing on trees in the area since 2004.
Endless Wall Trail Overlook Long Point Trail in the New River Gorge. The area is popular with climbers as the trailhead provides direct access to some of the best rock climbing in the region. Fern Creek Trailhead is located 13 miles just before Fern Creek down this road while the Nuttall Trailhead is 18 miles from US.
There are two trailheads for the Endless Wall Trail. In the late springearly summer the trail will be covered in blooming pink and purple rhododendrons making this hike that much more spectacular. The Endless Wall Trail is a lesser-known trail in the New River Gorge making it a perfect place for hikers to get away from the crowds and experience the New River Gorges natural beauty in a more remote setting.
There are numerous spots where even non-adventurous hikers can stand atop the rocky cliffs and gaze at the New River 900 feet below. The Endless Wall hiking trail is one of the best unknown hiking destinations within the park. The Endless Wall Trail is a 24 mile moderate walk that passes through rich forest crosses Fern Creek then zig-zags along the cliff edge.
