Roughly equidistant between the Fern Point and Cirque ladders is another set-- Honeymooners ladders. Hiking the Endless Wall Trail of the New River Gorge is more than a walk in the woods its an adventure. Trail was a little muddy in spots. The trail also offers direct access to some of the best rock climbing in the area via a system of ladders.
The Endless Wall Trail is a 24 mile moderate walk that passes through rich forest crosses Fern Creek then zig-zags along the cliff edge. On the Endless Wall Trail hike to Diamond Point for incredible views of the cliff line along the rim of the gorge. Extremely beautiful must see place.
Eat some L and hike this trailladders and all. Going down this set of ladders puts you dead in the middle and arguably the most quality section of Endless Wall at Snake Buttress. Its a small lot but we only saw one other car when we arrived.
The Endless Wall Trail is a very underrated hike located along the New River Gorge National River in West Virginia. The Fern Creek Trailhead for Endless Wall is only a few miles from the north end of the New River Gorge Bridge. When we returned to trailhead parking lot was packed.
From the New River Gorge Visitor Center its about a 15 mile drive to one of the two paring lots Fern Creek or Nuttalburg. We stopped at the Nuttalburg parking lot and enjoyed a wooded hike toward the gorge. On the Endless Wall Trail hike to Diamond Point for incredible views of the cliff line along the rim of the gorge.
